The AEWC Center   

General Information

The AEWC Center conducts contract research,  development, and product testing/qualification for public and private organizations throughout the world. Our personnel include highly qualified, experienced and recognized professionals in numerous fields related to research, development and commercialization of wood-nonwood composites.  Our staff has the multidisciplinary expertise needed to address all relevant aspects of the project at hand.  From these individuals, teams are tailored to successfully address the unique needs associated with each assignment.

In general, the services offered by the ASC Laboratory/AEWC Center may be classified as follows: 

• Product Testing and Qualification

• Contract Development of New Products/Processes

• Joint Development of New Products/Processes

• Commercialization of Technology Developed at the Center and other University Facilities

The Center routinely conducts a broad menu of ASTM Standard tests.  Custom testing is also commonly designed and performed to fill specific needs.  These capabilities ensure that materials under development receive an appropriately conceived and executed battery of evaluations.
